After-School Maths Course for 1st Class Children (Spring Term) in Zug

This spring term maths course is designed for 1st Class children who are ready to consolidate core skills while beginning to work with concepts that prepare them for the transition into the next school year. Lessons are structured, focused, and engaging, with a clear emphasis on progress and confidence.

The course follows the Canton of Zug curriculum (Lehrplan 21) and strengthens key 1st Class topics, while also touching on mathematical concepts typically introduced in the early part of the following school year. This approach allows children to develop familiarity with new ideas in a supported setting and gain a head start before these topics are encountered formally in class.

Children work with numbers in greater depth, develop more efficient calculation strategies, and strengthen their understanding of place value and numerical relationships. Lessons also include geometry, measurement, and early data handling, encouraging clear mathematical language and structured reasoning.
